A Storm is Coming

I honestly did not know I was dreaming. Everything was in color and so very real. Have you ever awoke and felt this way? A few weeks ago, I had a dream that I have often thought and prayed over. I want to share it with you in hopes you will also pray. When you pray ask God if you are ready for the troubles that are soon to be upon us. Ask God if you are truly worshiping in Spirit and truth? Are your family and friends ready? Ask God, “what can I do to help those in my circle of family and friends be ready?”

In this dream, I was outside in our backyard with my girls. It was a beautiful sunny day. The sky was light blue, the sun was shining. The girls were playing while I watched with a happiness and peace in my heart. Suddenly, I looked up at the sky and was taken aback to see the sky rapidly changing colors. The sky was turning shades of light blue to dark blue, to light gray, then dark gray. It was changing as it moved towards our home. I said girls we need to go into the house I think a storm is blowing in. As we headed to the house the sky started to turn black as night. Once we were in the kitchen, I looked out the kitchen window and it was starting to rain. The wind picked up so quickly and was blowing through the open window of the kitchen. I watched the wind pick up the mail laying on the kitchen countertop and it swirled in the air.

I told the girls; this storm is going to be an unbelievably badone. With wind this strong it could turn into a tornado fast. I said, “let’s head to the basement where it is safer during a storm”. I took one more look outside the window to see lightening, thunder, and high winds as well as a family member of mine sitting in our detached garage. The garage door was open, and I could see them working with some wood. They appeared happy and totally oblivious to the storm. I tried to yell out the window for them to take cover, to come into the house where they would be safe. They did not hear. They couldn’t hear me. The storm was too loud. I woke up shaken and upset. After opening my eyes and realizing it was just a dream, I started to pray.

This dream seems to have importance as it has been brought back to my mind many times. After much prayer, God seems to be warning us that trouble is coming to His church and he wants His faithful to be ready. Have we set our anchor on Jesus, and not traditions or denominational beliefs? Do we have the faith it will take to go through?

So what does it all mean? I can’t say with certainty, but speaking of the Omega Apostacy, we are told it “will be received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has Given.” (1SM 200.1) 1904 Then after a description of the apostatized church, she concludes by saying: “Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.” {1SM 204.2}

It is not my intent to identify here what the omega apostasy is, but rather affirm that we are indeed living in the last days, so the apostasy must necessarily already be part of the remnant church. God has no choice but to allow storm and tempest to sweep away the structure that has been built on sand, similar to the events He allowed to occur in 1844 in order to purify his church so it can be filled with His Spirit and truth. Don’t be deceived, this will be an incredibly painful process, and God’s church will be shaken to it’s core with friends and family set against each other. There is only one place of safety – Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature.” (1SM 197.4) 1904

A storm is coming to God’s Church - will it survive?

God has a church. It is not the great cathedral neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church.”

May God bless you as you take this matter up in prayer and follow the Lamb whithersoever He leads.
